And there is the silence of this morning
which I have broken with my pen,

a silence that had piled up all night

like snow falling in the darkness of the house--

the silence before I wrote a word

and the poorer silence now.

-- Billy Collins from the poem, Silence

I loved the silence, the remnants, your comments, the pottery, your quotes. Thanks for sending just the email to remind me to go to your site and for your beautiful images

Fantastic post! I love billy Collins and I love the artwork you used to illustrate this poem. Or is it the other way around? either way, wonderful.

I love Billy Collins and I love this drawing and pot. Wonderful combination of poetry, two dimensional art, and three dimensional art.
